Pancake · I had a dream once that I cracked open my chest cavity. I broke my sternum and peeled my rips back like hinges to an armoire. Inside, I was made of clock parts.

Pancake · I was going to die on my 21st birthday. decided to become a chain smoker. bought a pack of cigarettes in a store I had never been to, promised the guy at the counter I would come back and pay for the lighter I stole. rode my bike on an unfamiliar street until I hit trees. left it in the middle of the road on the doubleline, walked into the woods. found a man. found a small boat. I shoved off. floated. till it capsized and i drowned.

Pancake · i'm sitting next to my highschool enemy at a table. She's being rude. I grab my salad, throw it in her face, and hit her over the head with the bowl repeatedly. She runs away, hides in an office building. it is a police precinct. She's an officer. I try to hit her again, but she blocks. I grab her and shake her. White out. I wake up on the floor, confetti falling, for an office party celebrating two lesbian's engagement. they get a plaque.

Pancake · I was walking and my feet felt wet. I sat down to take off my shoes. As i take them off, i see a pink seeping around the edge of my feet, i turn my feet in towards me like the butterfly stretch, and i see my socks are soaking in blood. I am aware that my feet are cut like razors, but it doesn't hurt yet. I know I can't take my socks off for fear of pain. So i put my shoes back on. I get up and can walk.

Pancake · i see Apolo Ohno at airport security, i walk in step with him, tell him how his life outlook has influenced me. as im walking i feel im falling/shrinking/dyeing, he says he has to go, if i send an email he will respond but im crying, I say i only have a sentence left. i'm growing younger. weaker. he kneels, says finish. i do. i'm 7 years old, i collapse, he lifts me across his arms, body limp, "i think" he says "no planes will crash today."
