nyx, there are different schools of dream interpretation. You have your school and I have mine. Everyone has their own style. Comparing dreams is helpful to see the range of possibilities that could happen in the dream world, that dream dimension.

Oh no objection to any school whatsoever... am interested in all...& u're wrong: do not adhere to/follow any particular one myself... to tell the truth, do not believe in 'compartmentalizing' Knowledge + do not believe a 'school''s purpose is to breed followers... if that were the case, there would be no advancement so to speak..

take Jung & 'Jungians' for instance...if CJ was anything like his followers, there would, quite simply, be no 'school' to follow...now back to #2... is 'semi-compulsive dream comparison' some kind of method? & if yeah, how does it work, according to ur 'school'?

I mean 'range of possibilities' is a given, right?

Am seriously interested...have known people to have very similar dreams, content-wise, yet very dissimilar interpret-wise...

#2 ha ha, yes 'semi-compulsive dream comparison' if you could call it that, is a kind of method, just as in real life, if a traveller were to say to another one, "When I was in this country, this happened", the other traveller might say, "Oh yes, right. When I was there I had a similar experience that happened like this."

nyx, my dear friend, a few years ago, if I saw this website, I would have skimmed over it immediately. Yes, years ago, I was one of the masses who thought that dreams were 'stupid'. But since I started recording my dreams, they do show a definite organic living pattern. There are, or is going to be, knowing the internet, hundreds

of websites in the years to come which will be a copying off of this one, like diaryland and blogspot are sort of copies of one another, YouTube, vimeo, megavideo, cweb, zshare are all sort of copies of one another, but because the friendship of you, Jad and CarlGustav has a sentimental value to me, I'll stay with this website!

Do not buy ur 'friendship card': u've been with dreams all ur life, actively 'engaged' for the past 5 years; only known us for the past say coupla weeks?...to u, 'a dream in need, would be a friend indeed...', so...ah s'ppose u're here mainly cuz the 'weather' agrees with ur dreams...& we ARE friends but not of the 'lala' kind ok?

@ A-sheep: do u feel threatened in ur cultural identity? 'another dimension'= dimension/ side of r identity; 'army'= organized 'invaders' attacking self/ identity; 'wife+ pregnancy'= survival of the species; 'doll'/ not real baby= not physical survival, but more to do with way o life/ belief-system etc...

ahhhh i see, i'm sorry i didn't read that one fully. I do often feel that people are attacking my identity or disbelieving of me in one way or another. I never thought of it in that way but it is very helpful :)

It could also help u to think about why u feel that way: is it more to do with the people u're usually around & them not being 'tolerant'/ open enough, or is it to do with u- perhaps u send 'mixed signals', or are not very comfortable/ confident/ secure in who u are...
