many years ago in midst of Cold War hd a drm: in East Bay/Oakland California, lookin cross h2o at SanFrancisco. a nuclear bomb went off and a great redorange dome of heat etc started rising up ovr SF. when it got to about same shape as sunnysideup eggyolk, big as city, it stopped, stopped exploding, froze in place. end of dream. wondered if it would continue next night's sleep. never finished. SF still there, I hear.
nyx · #1 · over 3 years ago ago
'Oak-Land= deeply rooted in the soil/land, or the past; h2o=source of 'all life'- psych/ unconscious life, emotional life, spiritual life...'looking cross a stretch of h2o' towards sthg= intuitive vision/ seein into future/ life direction; 'SF'- peninsula, linked to the mainland, yet separate-surrounded by water on 3 outta 4 sides
nyx · #2 · over 3 years ago ago
also SF originally named after st Francis of Assisi; etymol meaning of Francis='free man'+ st Fran came to be known as the 'Gentle Giant'- w/ size ref to spirituality; 'nuclear bomb'=helplessness that fuels an attempt to gain control/ strong desire to wipe out an aspect of self/undergo a drastic change/transform beyond recognition
nyx · #3 · over 3 years ago ago
'redorange'= color of the sun/essential Light; 'heat'=warmth; 'dome'=symbol sky ,spirit- headed 'higher ground'; 'egg yolk' is the part o the egg which feeds the developin embryo;'as big as a city'=as big as a man/giant; 'stopped, stopped explodin, froze in place'=stalled/reached a standpoint/ 'plateau'...
nyx · #4 · over 3 years ago ago
...u say, 'SF still there, I hear'...hmm after experiencin the 'full blast' of ur quest for spirituality, feel rather tempted to retort 'CG still there, i hear!!'.....;)
nyx · #5 · over 3 years ago ago
...Image of a rebirth/ 'big bang' ...story of a 'psych crossin'...involvin a 'Gentle Giant'- either describes who u became/identify with, or a person y met who was sort of a catalyst/call to join the 'Other Side'...
woundedgod · #6 · over 3 years ago ago
Sounds maybe like a collective unconscious dream....Jung separated dreams in to two categories...the personal dream echoing your subconscious and the collective unconscious dreams that feel larger than you and tap a vaster scape...these types can be premonitions at times. They definitely have a different feel to them. Global..?
nyx · #7 · over 3 years ago ago
..shape of the dream wld suggest...bt for some reason, doubt it..qulty of energy n symbolo felt v personal...energy- strong, detached n ruthless enough to imply collctve ,yet v deliberate n SINGLE-minded for all that..echoed in SINGLE 'eggyolk' suspnded 1/2way up between 'heavn' n earth- grand but glaringly/blindingly single/alone
carlgustav · #8 · over 3 years ago ago
When i first had it, took it as sorta 'possible prophetic', ... the nature of the times... the stopping of the explosion was like it was a movie that jammed at a particular frame. A maybe temporary reprieve for the world. the possibility it would continue was there, as was the ColdWar danger. Now considrn 'nyx's inputs that it..

..cd be a reflection of ... 'the struggle in my soul', how to relate to / measure up to... a 'higher self' element/self-challenge in my psyche, etc.....
carlgustav · #10 · over 3 years ago ago
re nyx #1: rooted in soil: once got a "psychic reading" t effct that I was an "ancient earth soul" (had MAny "lifetimes" on >this< planet, as opposed to... Venus.. or Maldek.. or!.. like all the other motley varieties o hippies ;) :( ) .. 'life direction' ALways a existntial angst producn matter; def felt lk a 'peninsula', stickin
carlgustav · #11 · over 3 years ago ago
..out from more collectively identified peers. Nyx#2: definitely have been challenged by examples like St Franc & Jesus, relative to selfish vs dedicated-to-whole; express violent or anger vs yield/forgive, etc. Def hav felt issue w/ "drastic change/transform beyond recognition" both rel to self & in order to 'change world'...
carlgustav · #12 · over 3 years ago ago
...Nyx#3:"stopped explodin, froze in place'=stalled/reached a standpoint/ 'plateau' " ..yes, this indeed characterizes much of my response to the selfimposed 'bigness' of self-challenges mentioned above; have had difficulty to keep self in perspective rel to actual capbilties in 'real life'. Nyx#5: bingo. WG#6:feels: both types ?
woundedgod · #13 · over 3 years ago ago
Love the artwork....
nyx · #14 · over 3 years ago ago
...uhuh...esp some o the details: color o the bridge 'over the city' n 'body o the city'- color o mud/'earth n man'; egg yolk- a 'bright sun' in the 'belly o the nite', the main Star o its own galaxy...its reflection in the 'muddy emotional waters' o Frisco...its position, over a plateau, restin in betwix 2 'peaks'...
nyx · #15 · over 3 years ago ago
...the perspective that belies its position, makin it appear 'lower still' than the highest point of the 'bridge'...whose cables are part o the body o the city, seemingly reachin into the bowels o some o its 'highest' towers, very much part n parcel o it all...
anonymous · #16 · over 3 years ago ago
loved the illustration!!
carlgustav · #17 · over 3 years ago ago
Wow: picture. cd th dreamer 'correct' it fr th record?: the fireball expanded frm ground-0 at city center up and out to all sides from there and stopped at 'hemisphere' stage, like a 'dome' covering th city; as if th 'egg' were layin on city; viewed from other side of bay (bout 10x farther away than in pic) ... [tbc]
carlgustav · #18 · over 3 years ago ago
(it didn't >look like< a fried egg; thats just to describe >shape< of th expandin nuclear heat explosion viewed from side at ground level at sevrl miles distant) More pictures comin'??
carlgustav · #19 · over 3 years ago ago
[notice the blue 'clouds' on the bottom of this page.... the explosion was that shape, as if it had been detonated at ground level and expanded up/ out from there....... "hemisphere/dome" shape....]

Alright...you ready? here comes some more theosopy at you. :) In lieu of your recent interp. The enclosed world acts as a womb pregnant with consciousness...here we put effort forth for the manifestation of the Self-ego=authentic nature. To be born however we must move past and open to the psychoid. Where we can access the Divine.
woundedgod · #21 · over 3 years ago ago
"misled by god's existing within this closed realm we believe we do not have potential to break those boundaries". Divine=original entity of creation. Gods=descendants,...this is apparent in many/most spiritual traditions teachings...Divine=psychoid self which unites psyche (bounded realm) with psychoid (unbounded).
woundedgod · #22 · over 3 years ago ago
will get there...k...wholeness is ego self consciousness must relate to psychoid self(the ally). challenging this boundary of this closed system creates prb of fear and assumption of impossibility (nuclear blast?) I wanna think of your ball as something else though...I wanna think of it as your egoself or more floating up to meet
woundedgod · #23 · over 3 years ago ago
overcome the boundary and meet that psychoid self. ref: cherokee story: "the door through the sky" meeting the sun through the door in the sky and getting cut off punished...so...challenging boundary brings death...what were you challenging? hmm? men never saw the face of that sun...never looked in the face of god for fear of death
woundedgod · #24 · over 3 years ago ago
closed system, plateau, ball rising in the dark sky ENERGETIC BALL! Love it... :)
carlgustav · #25 · over 3 years ago ago
• which recent interp? in 'view' of ? gooness, just got about 24 telegrams all run together .... picture above grows on the viewer w/ later viewings even if it is a different story ... maybe like the rising globe rather than 1/2 globe attached to earth ..maybe not, too. ..have 'work' to do in the 'Realm of Atomized Density'
nyx · #26 · over 3 years ago ago
@#17-18-19..lol...how wld u expect a 2-dimensional, single representation/illustration/ renderin of a 'dreammood' to be 'faithful' to all the aspects of a complex, internal, multi-dimensional, 'all-knowin/seemingly omniscient movin pic'?...not even Picasso could do it ;)...reminds me of an anectode, involvin the late artist...
nyx · #27 · over 3 years ago ago
...while on a train ride, bound to godknowswhere, P happened to meet w/ an an 'older man', ie older than the artist @ the time...realizin who his fellow passenger was, the man thought to ask: 'Why is it that u don't draw real pics?'..'Real? Whatdu mean?...'... 'Well u know, real, like how real ppl look like..'...'Dont understand..
nyx · #28 · over 3 years ago ago
...could u explain it to me?'...@ which point the man took out an old photo of his wife, showed it to P, n said sthg to the effect: 'Real...see like this...this is how my wife looks like..'..'..This how she 'really' looks like???... as small n flat as this??!'.....
carlgustav · #29 · over 3 years ago ago
Gosh Darn IT! It just aint a picture of the actual dream I had!!! ;) hmm: Let us 'tread lightly' here. if we cn yield that it just might have some utility for two interlocutors to have the same data in their separate minds. as congruently as possible, for certain purposes of precision, then we cn probably yield to
carlgustav · #30 · over 3 years ago ago
all the wildest of "postmodern relativisms", and agree that a work of art (or a dream) has no intrinsic 'hard' definition/ meaning/ interpretation etc. etc... and every expression 'stands on its' own... ... [is that the point? I don't know!! it's all relative, and 1 thing sliding continually into another ...
nyx · #31 · over 3 years ago ago
.....yaaaaaaaaaay Double Bingo!!......... :)
anonymous · #32 · over 3 years ago ago
congratulations carlgustav, your dream is the dream of week!
woundedgod · #33 · over 3 years ago ago
I agree to disagree!!! Ha haaaaaa!
woundedgod · #34 · over 3 years ago ago
ie. the interpretation is subject to human error of course and also it seems to be a very personal thing as well...getting in touch with your self would seem to perhaps shed more light on the night world...of course there are just those plain anxiety dreams we all have that supposedly release some "ego-steam" as Freud put it but
woundedgod · #35 · over 3 years ago ago
some like to think that the more one gets in touch with their "inner teacher" the more one is able to see the subtle symbolism in those nightly visions in terms of how it applies on their own journey...no one can interpret that for you I dont think...only you know your deepest truth and your tasks at hand? hope that's not preachy
woundedgod · #36 · over 3 years ago ago
frustration is a part of it I think..just a healthy sign that you want to know more. Yeah? Blissings
nyx · #37 · over 3 years ago ago
'Blissings', HD :)...honestly find it hard to digest ur otherwise delectable 'Ode to Frustration'...pers find it hard to reconcile myself to its 'toxic' effect on the 'waters o the mind'...gnrlly clouds m judgement/ makes m bhave rashly/prevents m from seein what's right 'in front of m nose', 'under it' n bhind it for that matter
nyx · #38 · over 3 years ago ago
...which seems to fit w/ the original meanin of the word- 'to deceive n disappoint'...n its related adverbial form- 'frustra'- 'in error n in vain'...but then again that's m own humble n perhaps inconsequential experience talkin...
woundedgod · #39 · over 3 years ago ago
Humble useful but inconsequential? never...I plucked "frustration" from Carls statemt in #29 and #30...just pointing out that not knowing is ok and simply that to go easy on one self is a task in itself...as one wise person I dont know one said "you are only but one man". Prhaps not xctly the words but fits your #37 and #38 too? :)
nyx · #40 · over 3 years ago ago
...hahaha...well good luck w/ that!...don't think 'easy' figures anywhere in 'Carl's' dictionary...dunno, but u might have to hit him over the head w/ it ;).....n m gonna get m ass kicked big time for this 1...help he's comiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin aaaaaAAAaaaaAaaAAA Aaarghhhhhhh..........scared..........m scared.............:)
Bing · #41 · over 3 years ago ago
Redorange, sounds like derange - disarrange - disorder (whatever order is...). Your use of h2o, the chemical compound of water - you are applying order to the dream. This indicates to me an ambivalence or conflict (general war theme also). I draw you to another dyad - hot and cold - "the midst of the cold war... dome of heat...
Bing · #42 · over 3 years ago ago
...froze in place." Yet the dream just stopped, conflict unresolved.
carlgustav · #43 · over 3 years ago ago
#35: preachy?. I completely congrue with you. My "Gosh Darn It" was OnLy a big winky! Doin my duty of taking an apparently 1-sided pos t cntrbalance an apparent opposite leaner (Picasso ancdote + its rhetorical point, which seemed to be mocking ANY recog of my "same data ... congruently as possible, for .. purposes o precision,")..
carlgustav · #44 · over 3 years ago ago
which is why in 17 i put 'correct' in quotes: t leave the pictur out o it, so we can have if possible the same images in mind when trying to communicate verbally; whch's why i tried to give equal time to both sides of the Great Psychoid Brain ... for They are Lo! ... ONE!! ... Precise Meaning AAAND ..Wild!.. Free! ...AAArt!!!!
carlgustav · #45 · over 3 years ago ago
.. o gosh, and for all you old hippies and new post modernists, i don't mean by ONE: the SAME. I mean they can be both honored and exist together, but must (do) remain distinct, making a whole harmoniously w/ 'order' aNd 'chaos' working together to churn out all this continuous self transmutualating goo ... called 'yoo' ...
carlgustav · #46 · over 3 years ago ago
N: your 40 is 1nc again synchrnstc; cuz m comin round to the "1 man, 1 apotheosis" (srry, cdnt rsist) doctrn, at just these days o my life; i.e., somewhat 'late'..., rather, notice I hint, in my #12, at beginnin to get "... am but one man..." rel to ... well, any possible lurkin' 'messiah complex' ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;-))))))))))
woundedgod · #47 · over 3 years ago ago
#40 LOL! What did I get in to here?!!! are we a pack of wolves with hierarchy clearly defined I am unaware of? oh and while I am asking q's what are these good and bad sheeps all about? I cnt find anything on that....but I digress....#41 and 42 brings up water...unsurprisingly I have something to say :D
woundedgod · #48 · over 3 years ago ago
the five elements ie. primordial energies (which exist within our bodies and we move through each with hopefully ease and grace) Element water is one...individuals primarily operating from that energy will sometimes experience intense dreams as they tend to be more in touch or affected by the unseen realm...water has a few states
woundedgod · #49 · over 3 years ago ago
it can become and one of them is freezing. This can be in the physical sense as in issues with movement literally inhibited movement due to a physical or mental cause..."I feel frozen" unable to go on is one way this can manifest....just saying that that was an image that came to mind as you did speak of the scene freezing...
woundedgod · #50 · over 3 years ago ago
regardless if it is your water speaking its all about similar concepts...going within, tapping the reserves deep in the winter ground, needing to get closer to the inner teacher...maybe a literal freezing of progress or mental anguish...or just a stillness while rebirth occurs in the spring...I get lost past quote #35 :D thnk you.
nyx · #51 · over 3 years ago ago

hahaha kiddin..as u can see..oops sorry, caught in my own inane hulubalooooo, 4got all about ur 'sheep quest'..hmm, let's see..SOMEbusyBODY- meanin Freudin Demon aka 'Shadow Puppeteer' ;)- had what 'he' believed was the brilliant/inspired idea of designin a 'wand'-gives dreamers the 'godlike' power to 'select' GOOD from BAD dream
nyx · #54 · over 3 years ago ago
...n said power is @ once Absolute n Arbitrary...so after all, m guess is, in this zoo, Sheep's the King!..'Vive le Mouton!'..'Hail Sheep!'...n any other variation u can think of...not fair...uhuh...notfairatall..but Our Demons, in their freudin Wisdom, thought to teach us a lesson about what we perceive as the 'Unfairness o Life'

prof_roddy · I had a dream that my family found out that the Apocalypse was coming (asteroid hitting the Earth) and we used our stereo to break into the news and tell the world about it. And when it was time for it to happen, I hugged my brother, but nothing happened. Then we fought off the looters in our front yard.
